The Baltimore County Police is investigating a fatal shooting that allegedly stemmed from a break-in attempt. According to a new release, officers responded to the 1000 block of Middlesex Road in reference to a shooting around 9:45 PM on December 9, 2023. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to the preliminary investigation, detectives allege the armed suspect was attempting to gain access to the resident’s home. The homeowner discharged his firearm and struck the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
