The website is not registered or accredited by BBB. Here is another product featured on an AP News press release. Many unofficial websites rely on AP News press releases to legitimize their products. Unaware consumers see the press release and that is all she wrote.

Not A New Jersey Business – Made In The USA Claim

A business search via the New Jersey Portal did not render results for the website or brand. The vendor claims the heater is manufactured by an American-based company.

VersionTECH

The same heater is sold on the Walmart Marketplace under the brand VersionTECH. The Alpha Heater is priced at $84.99 with free shipping. Alibaba and EliExpress have very similar heater models ranging between $4.31 and $40.

Afterword – Alpha Heater Scam

The website claims it is an “American Owned” company. There is no evidence to back up this claim. A New Jersey Portal business search rendered no results for the brand. These unofficial websites are dropshipping from Alibaba and AliExpress, driving up the initial price tag by $50 or more. They are rebranding the products to make them “their own.” This website is no better than the fraudulent Blaux HeatCore, which is operated by Quality Performance and Able Look Online.

It is a federal offense to make such a claim. These Chinese-made products are not even assembled in the United States. It is a scam enticing American consumers to invest.

Image: getalphaheater.com

There is no way to justify the $84.99-price tag when Alibaba, AliExpress, and Amazon sell similar models for no more than $27 each.

Nayzayerz cannot factually say the Alpha Heater does or does not work. However, it is highly unlikely since they are made in China like the Blaux AC, which we purchased to test. The miniature footprint does not leave a lot of room for the much-needed components to generate heat.

Many American consumers are down on their luck right now, as millions are unemployed due to COVID-19 regulations. These scam artists are peddling Chinese-made products that turn out to be nothing more than a pile of scrap. It would be nice to have a miniature heater that would keep even a small room warm without driving up our electric bill. But, the Alpha Heater is not it.

We just recently made a similar purchase through eBay. We purchased several items, all of which were from different vendors. They arrived 17 days after the initial purchase. And, all were shipped right from the California-based warehouse belonging to Alibaba/AliExpress.

There is not one government entity that is willing to step up to the plate to bring awareness to these international scams. We are alone in this fight people.

  1. My mother bought 2 of these heaters. They are garbage and don’t work at all now she’s just stuck trying to figure out what she can do about it. These crooks should be shut down. It’s sickening to think that in these tough times their are creeps out there trying to make things worse for people and profiting from it. Thanks for your article, very informative. NOBODY should buy this garbage!

    1. She can file a chargeback with her credit card, file a BBB complaint against the website, and/or request a refund from PayPal. This is not a real company you are dealing with, it is an international scam artist. It is crucial to never purchase from an unofficial website without extensive research. The same products are available through Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, and AliExpress, all of which are more secure than any unofficial website.

    2. Funny- I just ordered 2 of them & plugged the first one in to set it up for usage & it won’t even light up or do anything!! Do you know if we cqan get a refund by returning the merchandise! Connie

      1. You probably have 30 days to request a return. If you decide to go through with it, request the return via PayPal. Do not allow the return deadline to expire or the merchant to talk you out of returning your order. Thanks for sharing.

    3. This is a piece of garbage. It doesn’t heat up a small room at all. I wish I read this before I purchased it. It was just money down the drain.

    1. I actually saw a look-a-like in Walmart as well. Better off with a convection heater, at least it would generate enough heat to keep a small room warm. The Alpha Heater is an overpriced piece of junk. Thanks for your comment.

  2. Its a scam. I like many others I bought this. I put in a room 7×9 for three hours. No heat what so ever.
Shame on me thinking that a little wall p,ug heater would work.

    1. LOL! You are not alone. These scam artists have scammed hundreds of vulnerable, unaware consumers. You could have gotten one from Walmart or Ollie’s. I think Home Depot and Lowe’s sells this junk as well.

  3. Mar 15, 2021- It is a scam, In Dec 2020 I purchased these heaters and when I got them they were crap so I sent them back as per there instructions and at my cost. I still have yet to get my refund from them after 3 months of trying to get it back. It is just like a call company and they just send me emails saying that they gave me back my money which they have not. I put it on my credit card so I am now going to call my credit card company to see if I can get the original charge reversed as it is not a legit company.

    1. I am really surprised you got them. It appears the scam artists are fulfilling some orders and not others. Good luck on sending them back because they came from Alibaba. No offense, but Chinese-manufactured junk. Some Alibaba products are decent, but not these rebranded heaters. Not a legit company, just a bunch of scammers taking advantage of vulnerable consumers. Thanks for comment!

  4. I’m so glad I came upon this article. I found it while looking up how to order these amazing little heaters. When am I going to realize….if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. You just saved me over $100.00 since I was going to but two. Thank you so much!

    1. Glad we could help. The quality and functionality of Alibaba-promoted appliances are questionable. Always do your research because there are literally dozens of these unofficial websites, selling the same scrap metal. It also helps to do an image search, which will almost always return an Alibaba or AliExpress replica. BBB is also a helpful, trustworthy resource. Never trust GlobeNewsWire press releases because they are paid to provide positive reviews.

    2. I was going to buy some also but after searching for over 30 mins I couldn’t find ONE SINGLE website that gave an negative review! That was really fishy and I kept searching. I came up to this site and now I’m thinking these scammers are scrubbing the internet of all negative reviews. Thank you for your site! Unfortunately, it was listed 9th on the list and at the very bottom so many people may not find this site so easily 🙁

      1. That is because they buy paid advertisement and backlinks to push their scam sites higher in the Google search results. If you see more than two positive reviews for the same product, they are probably paid reviews. Thanks for commenting.

  5. Wow. Amazing audacity it takes to pull off a scam like this. Their claims of “it uses less power than your laptop” immediately tells anyone with any sense at all that the claim is impossible. The best ceramic heaters around take 1500 watts to create enough heat to maybe heat a very small room in cold weather. That’s why they’re called “personal heaters.” A laptop uses around 100 watts at the most. And then the claim “heats a cold room to 75 degrees in minutes;” how naive do you need to be to believe this nonsense? And then we get to reviews. I googled “alpha heater scam” and there is page after page of “reviews” that are nothing but over-the-top praise. I could not find one single legitimate review for this product. This page is the exception. Why does not some consumer-protection agency stop people like this when the whole operation is so blatantly a ripoff? They obviously spend way more on creating these phony “review” sites and making sure than no legitimate ones can penetrate their blanket of lies that are all over the internet. It really is an amazing scam, I have to hand them that.

    1. There is no oversight, which is why these scam artists get by running elaborate scam. Alpha Heater is an extraordinary scam that is been operation for several years. Consumers need to be aware of these Alibaba dropshippers. We purchased a similar heater from eBay to test it out. It is nothing more than a desktop computer fan, with paper filters. In other words, it does not generate heat. What it does generate is room temperature air that will not even blow a sheet of paper. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Thank you. Free enterprise is not freedom to outrageously scam just as free speech is not freedom to yell “Fire!” in a crowded theatre or tell blatant factual lies about matters of public importance for which social media platforms are excruciatingly slowly being held to account. Type “Alpha Heater” into Google and see the avalanche of fake positive reviews about this evidently useless product until finding your NayZayerz warning. If it all originates from China, shame on them for allowing the international scam even while clamping down on the internet for public dissension purposes within their country but the ultimate sin is that of the USA for failing to protect its consumers even after basically inventing and potentially controlling the relevant internet platforms within their country. I know, big internet philosophical issue. But see telling blatant factual lies about matters of public importance for which social media platforms are slowly being held to account…

    1. Couldn’t agree more, this is more common than you could imagine. All of the products from these online scams originate from China. However, the scam artists are from India, China, Nigeria, and Africa. It seems to be impossible to have scam websites removed. I have spoken with several companies about impersonation websites, which Google refuses to remove. Do not forget the fake Facebook, Amazon, and Google ads scams. Thanks for sharing!

  7. They discounted my order 75% on my CC
Have not received it yet. They sent it through the US mail. My next complaint is going to the postal inspector’s office. Maybe if enough people complain, they could get them on postal fraud.

    1. The FTC needs to conduct an investigation of these scam sites, which are in the thousands. Scam sites are very easy to pinpoint, as they all utilize the same website design, paid advertisement, fake paid product reviews, and addresses connected to logistics services. These scams operate from international countries like China and India.

  8. Thank this Website for Saving People more Grief! If More people Understood Ohms Law this could be probably avoided. The old adage of Electricity being Cleaner is TRUE if the Power plant isn’t in your Back yard! I’m surprised Some Politician hasn’t pused this Narrative. Again, thanks for Exposing these Scammers
