First, we’ll need to learn more about the individual behind Mosquito Scat. By checking out the contact us page, we can find an email address, phone number, and address.

The website, plmedia.co, appears to be selling social media accounts with a large number of followers. There is a good chance that the followers are fake. This is a marketing scheme for black hat site owners who wish to flood traffic to their sites. PLMEDIACO on Instagram claimed to have 8 million followers across all platforms yet only has 14.5k followers. The majority of those followers have just a few posts or they’re private. In all likelihood, they’re face followers.

The address goes to a home that may or may not be where the site owner lives. We doubt it. The home is owned by a senior software engineer who has supposedly worked for Capital One, Civitas Learning, and Ping Identity. We think the address was stolen by the scammer and used without this individual’s permission. So, we’re not going to mention any names.

There is no Texas business by the name of PL Media.

The Phone Number

By searching for the phone number, we can find several other entities linked to it. This includes Wavycrate. The Facebook page has been around since April of this year and it has a domain at wavycrate.com. By checking that website, we can see that it is selling an Ab Carver Pro Roller which is likely from Alibaba. When trying to check out on their website, we’re taken to a PayPal page for DBA, PL Media.

Once again, Wavycreate is using the same 12100 Scribe Drive address. The email address is wavycrate@plmedia.co. By searching for the phone number again, we can find the website lookmvmt.com which is using the same address too.

As for the email address on that page, it is look@plmedia.com. The lookmvmt.com website seems to be blank right now but it is set up to sell websites. The Instagram account says it is coming in August 2020. It is likely another scam in the works.

The PolarChiller

Then, we decide to search for the domain name plmedia.com. Unsurprisingly, we find yet another scam site, Polar Chiller. The website is polarchiller.com but it is gone now. The site’s owner is using Shopify to sell these products. Something likely went wrong with the Polar Chiller since the site is now missing.

The cached version of the about us page on PolarChiller offers new information including the email address polarchiller@plmedia.com. It also offers a new US-based phone number 609-414-7087. That phone number leads us to even more scams including FreeSeeTV.com, BuyNeckRelaxOfficial.com, SuperBoostWifi.com, and Swell eComm Enterprises.

Unsurprisingly, SwellHDPlus.com is selling a handful of scam products that we’ve written about before including the Buzz B Gone and Oshen Watch. Other is the NatureSpa Shower Head. Swell eComm Enterprises LLC has tons of BBB complaints but we’ll leave that for a future post.

Other scams linked to the phone number are GetLiveWaveAntenna.com and Mobile Lean.

Other Sites

Ultimately, Mosquito Scat is a scam and the site owner is involved in tons of other scams. Those mentioned above are pf his network. Furthermore, he or she is running the website TodayMotivation.com. Another is GrassFit but the site is no longer available. And yet another is PoweredPods.com.

We got a little off track there but it is important to give you as much information as possible. You may run into any of these websites so you should know that they’re all scams operated by the same person who is running the Mosquito Scat website. With that being said, we should return our attention back to the Mosquito Scat. One indoor Mosquito Scat trap is being sold on the official website for $29.99.

As you should already know, this product is likely available at Alibaba. Furthermore, it is identical to the Buzz B Gone. Sure enough, you can buy the Mosquito Scat on Alibaba for $2.00. Do you really think these products are worth $29.99? They’re being made for less than a few dollars.

These products are nowhere near worth this much.

Is The Mosquito Scat A Scam?

While you may receive the product, you are likely going to be disappointed with it. Of course, the bigger risk is that you won’t get anything at all. These sites pretend to offer warranties and free returns but they usually come with restrictions. We cannot recommend Mosquito Scat since the site owner PLMedia.co is wrapped up in so many other scams.

The same device can be purchased on AliExpress for less than $13 and likely lower. So, it is impossible to justify buying the official Mosquito Scat. There are too many risks and it is overpriced.
