Afterword – Starscope Monocular Scam

Is the Scarscope Monocular a scam? One thing is for sure, ThinkNix is not a California-registered company. The website utilizes a PostalAnnex address to make itself look legit. The 22% 1-star Amazon customer reviews claimed the Starscope did not work. Several customers referred to the product as “junk.”

There is not enough evidence to determine if this is a real scam. But, there is enough evidence to safely say it is an overpriced Chinese Alibaba look-a-look. You can get the same EXACT scope on Alibaba for a small fraction ($6) of the ThinkNix price of $47.99.

Buy the Alibaba version and save more than $40. According to the Amazon reviews, the Starscope could not possibly be worth more than a few bucks.

  1. Why buy the cheap Alibaba version when all you can expect is “Diplopia And Blurred Vision At Best”? Why send your hard-earned money to a a country which persecutes its own people and is intent on taking over the world? If you need one of these devices, why not buy something quality?

    1. We fully agree. We normally do not recommend buying Chinese-made products from Alibaba, AliExpress, eBay, or Amazon. However, if you are determined to buy these products, we recommend buying them from a reputable vendor like Amazon. Why American consumers feel the need to waste their money on these Chinese-made telescopes is beyond our way of thinking. There are so many high-quality brands out there that it is difficult to fathom why anyone would want a telescope manufactured in China. Also, these products are affordable for a reason. This reason is they are junk.
